...we plan to explain a modeling approach here, that bridges the gap between industrial modeling according to the systems approach and the modeling used in simulation. Our primary goal is to support a concept, where communication is guaranteed between organizational and logistic experts on one side, and simulation experts on the other side.

First of all we developed a discrete simulation package (TOMAS), that supports the accepted process approach of logistic modeling and puts no restrictions in the simulation design.

Currently an interfacing language is being defined and refined by using it in education programs of Delft University and applying it to ongoing research projects. To give an idea of these developments a list of recent publications is shown below.
